Using the Reports feature
Within your Little Green Button Management page is a section for Reports. Providing, your Little Green Buttons are able to communicate with our server, the data will automatically display here.
This section is designed to give you an overview of how many Little Green Buttons you have installed, as well as the location names selected, the installed IP address/network and what version of Little Green Button is installed.
You can sort the data by Location, IP Address, Subnet, Station ID, Version, Last Seen or Platform.
To sort, click the name at the top of the desired section.
In order for Little Green Button location name to display, the button should be version 3.5.18094 or newer. In the image above, for example, you’ll note a button which is version 3.5.18060 displays location as Not Reported.
Examples where the Reports page may be useful
Where a Little Green Button has an incorrect location name. You can use this page to find the associated IP address which should be a useful indicator of where the computer is physically located. This will likely be more beneficial to a larger organisation with many computers.
There may be a Little Green Button which is failing to communicate with other buttons on the network. At a glance, you can see if it’s on an incorrectly configured network, for instance.
There may be a specific feature only available in the latest version of Little Green Button. The reports section will allow you to quickly see what version each button is using. If someone is using an older version, this can be noted and subsequently upgraded.
